Hello! My name is Jeremie Showa and I graduated UC Davis in 2017 with a B.S. in Neurology, Physiology and Behavior. I am studying to become a physical therapist assistant. Additionally, I competitively race triathlons and finished top 15 at Collegiate Nationals and top 3 in many half ironman races.
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I have many years of endurance training and knowledge of injuries associated with endurance training. I have worked with people of all levels and age and helped them enjoy endurance training. One of my objectives when training with clients is injury prevention strategies that get you back outside and active.
Working as a physical therapist aide at KIME Performance Physical Therapy and in France I learned many exercises and rehab strategies to be able to have you exercising and feeling stronger than ever! My most memorable client was in a wheel chair for 6 years of his life after a terrible car accident. Once he started strength training with me, after 3 months he was able to stand for the first time since the accident.
Strength training helps you live a more active and injury free lifestyle. I am excited to help you reach your goals!
My name is Julie Leonard and I was a collegiate water polo player at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and have been a yoga enthusiast for the last 10 years. I’ve participated in many forms and practices of yoga which has helped me to develop my own practice, drawing from these teachings, for both a spiritual and physical journey of wellness. My emphasis is on enhancing your overall spiritual, physical and emotional well-being, by sharing positively impactful movements for you as an athlete, while enhancing your overall spirit and positive energy by linking movements with breath and encouraging returning to the present moment.
Having been drawn to Yoga teacher training for years, I was certified by Kaya Yoga here in Davis, CA, completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training. Kia Meaux’s incredible knowledge helped prepare me for teaching a wide range of students. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete looking to enhance your stability, flexibility, mobility, physical fitness, etc. or a first-time athlete looking to learn more about your body, I will take you on a journey that will positively enhance your body and your spirit.
I believe in the amazing benefits of Yoga practice and look forward to sharing these benefits with you.
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Parson.
I am the owner and head coach of Get Fit Strength and Conditioning. I began my own personal journey to a healthier lifestyle 20 years ago when I found myself 30lbs over weight with low self-esteem. I wanted to get fit and feel better, but had no idea how. I decided to hire a personal trainer and within 30 days I was getting great results and more importantly, I started to feel confident. I began to feel stronger not just physically, but mentally too. Not only was I hooked on my own results, I wanted to share this with everyone so they could feel it also. At this time, I decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry. I love the element of small group training because it not only is a safe way to learn how to properly weight train and get results, but the community it builds will leave you with long lasting friendships and a love for fitness. There is no judgement in our gym. I have had the pleasure of working with many amazing individuals over the past 15 years, who have completely changed their lives through health and fitness. I find it extremely rewarding to be their coach and see their transformation.
I would love for you to take us on your journey with you!
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? LET’S GO!

Hi, my name is Josh Jensen.
I started my fitness journey 8 years ago and initially began doing functional fitness as a way to enhance my performance on the soccer field. Like many young kids, I had dreams of one day becoming a pro soccer player and dedicated 10 years of my life playing at a very high level. However as the years went on, my passion for the game gradually faded but my passion for fitness still burned strong
I was constantly reading books, looking up videos, and overall trying to seek knowledge about different modalities of fitness. This lead me to train in a variety of ways including CrossFit, Olympic lifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, swimming, and kettlebells.
I come to Get Fit Strength and Conditioning with certifications in CrossFit and Olympic lifting. I am super excited to be a part of this family, and I am a firm believer that fitness is for everyone.
See ya out there.
Being born and raised in Davis I have always been involved in the athletic
community here. From running around the North Davis AYSO soccer fields and
ballet recitals to representing Davis Senior High School on the varsity volleyball
team and varsity track and field team.
I continued my athletic career into college at Chico State on the women’s track and field team, competing in the triple jump and javelin throughout my four years of college. It was my love for science and sports that led me to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology.
I believe that keeping exercise fun and challenging is the key to getting people
addicted to exercise and motivated to keep working out. Whether your exercise
preference includes lifting some serious weight or doing a spin workout to the
beat of the music I would love to help you achieve your goals. Let’s schedule a
workout!
